The institution has decided to integrate +2 level education with preparatory for the Union and the State Civil Services Examination also. The academy would prepare students early for the tough Preliminary and Main Examinations conducted by the UPSC and the APPSC, every year. SCAIS is, by far, the most prestigious projects taken up y Sri Chaitanya.
The vision is to place AP as no. 1 in sending officers to the prestigious All India Civil Services – IAS, IPS and the IFS.
Sri Chaitaya enjoys privilege of propelling the state of Andhra Pradesh to top position in placing students in the IIT’s, NIT’s, National Medical Colleges and ICAI. AP shall also be numero uno in making IAS, IPS and IFS officers too. The dream is to make AP as the first ranking state in making the careers of students, professional. And now it is time to think beyond the Corporate World, to think about the elite All India Civil Services.
The Back bone of India
The Indian Civil Service serves as the backbone of India and carries great respect and responsibilities. India's best brains vie for entry into the Indian Civil Services as officers. Even though corporate jobs may offer the best of salaries and perks, a majority of youngsters and their parents still crave entry to the prestigious Indian Civil Services held by the UPSC. The very fact that a big share of every year's top posts in the civil services exams are bagged by professionals from various streams, shows that the IAS is still the dream job for many.

Functions of the Civil Servant
A civil servant is responsible for the law and order and general administration in the area under his work. Typically the functions of an IAS officer are as follows :
  1. To handle the daily affairs of the government, including framing and implementation of policy in consultation with the minister-in-charge of the concerned ministry.
  2. Implementation of policy requires supervision.
  3. Implementation requires traveling to places where the policies are being implemented.
  4. Implementation also includes expenditure of public funds which again requires personal supervision as the officers are answerable to the Parliament and State Legislature for any irregularities that may occur.
  5. In the process of policy formulation and decision making, officers at various levels like joint secretary, deputy secretary make their contributions and the final shape to the policy is given or a final decision is taken with the concurrence of the minister concerned or the cabinet depending upon the gravity the issue.
For students aspiring to get into the Indian Civil Services, ‘SCAIS’ is the limit.
