“24 years may seem long for most people. But for us they have passed by in a wink. 1986 was an epoch making year for Intermediate Education in Andhra Pradesh. The defining moment was the inception of Sri Chaitanya Girls Junior College in Poranki, Vijayawada.
We had been enjoying an immensely successful medical practice abroad. Yet there seemed to be an inexplicable void, within. The desire to accomplish something for the people of our home-land had sown its seed of challenge in our hearts. The decision was then made. As medical professionals, our diagnostic dexterity enabled us identify the lacunae in the educational system, especially at the Intermediate level, in our state. The transition from the field of medicine to education was swift and smooth. As professionals we were on a mission - to groom students and change their mindset from settling for a mediocre career to aspiring for a professional career - and to transform mere participants to winners.
At the outset we set no boundaries for ourselves – neither academic nor geographical. Our broader perspective was not to teach but to educate the students. Our vision was to equip the students of our speaking state academically to make a mark in the coveted professional institutions – IIT, AFMC, NIT, AIIMS etc. Over the years Sri Chaitanya branched out across the length and breadth of not only our state but beyond. Thanks to our efficient academic and administrative squad, Sri Chaitanya is now a trusted house hold name across the country. Last year more than half the students who successfully cleared the tough IIT-JEE from Andhra Pradesh were the flag bearers of Sri Chaitanya. Need we say more about our earnest zeal and industry toward the student community?
The second generation of directors is now working shoulder to shoulder with the founder directors. Sri Chaitanya is now on the fast track enjoying the perfect blend of wisdom and innovation. Thinking ahead of our times is what we believe in. Customizing our intellectual property is facilitating us relocate students from the unenviable state of ordinary to the coveted education of the highest standard in premier national professional institutions.

Dr. Boppana Satyanarayana Rao is the Chairman of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions. Familiar to many as Dr. B. S. Rao garu, he is a household name among the student and parent community of Andhra Pradesh. Dr. B S Rao garu studied Medicine after high school, at the Guntur Medical College. He went on to do his MRSH from UK and practiced in England for a few years before moving to Iran.The urge to make the academic lives of the children of Andhra Pradesh better, prompted him to move to his home state in 1986.
The Man and the Visionary
The year 1986 saw the inception of Sri Chaitanya Girls Junior College in Poranki, Vijayawada. A noble thought that transformed the lives of lakhs of students over the next few years. Landmark Decisions – a humane touch
Some of his landmark decisions that add a human touch to the professional sphere are – to extend scholarships to students from economically weaker sections, and the decision in 2009, to extend free education to 100 children of farmers who committed suicide on account of bleak financial circumstances take a leaf out of any charity book.

Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Bai is the Secretary / Correspondent of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions. Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, or Doctor Madam garu as she is fondly called, studied Medicine from the Guntur Medical College, Andhra Pradesh. She was espoused to support Dr. B. S. Rao garu in equal measure in his Medical practice and subsequent shift to the field of education.
Nurturing Integrated Academic Programmes
Her sharp insight into the educational needs of students after high school, and her exceptional intellectual propensity aided her to design the integrated academic programme, LEO, that paved the way for countless students to secure top ranks in EAMCET and make it to prestigious Engineering and Medical colleges of the state.

Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Bai garu continues to be the inspiration behind the phenomenal growth and expansion of Sri Chaitanya Group. Leading by example she has always aspired for excellence in the professional sphere. Ms. Sushma S. Bopanna is the Academic Director of Sri Chaitanya Junior Colleges.

Ms. Sushma who had done her schooling from Atkinson – Vijayawada, stepped out of Sri Chaitanya Junior College and spent the next few years studying B. Tech. – from the prestigious B I T S – Pilani. She went abroad to the US to pursue her Master’s in Information Systems.
A fighter to the core, blessed with the spirit to think differently and think ahead of her times, Ms. Sushma started her professional career in 1998 as a Software Developer – with American Electric Power, Tulsa Ok – United States of America. She served as an Administrator with three M N Cs based in the US. After gaining rich professional and work experience with Williams Communications and in the Software Division of First Health, Phoenix Arizona - United States of America, Ms. Sushma quickly blended with the Sri Chaitanya system as Chief of the Academic Planning in 2007.
Achievements
Ms. Sushma is the chief architect of ICON. She also scripted the unparalleled success story of Sri Chaitanya in IIT-JEE and EAMCET in 2008 and 2009. She continues to design various academic programmes at the micro-level for students of Intermediate, in order to make the lives of even average students better and professional.

Ms. Seema Boppana is the Academic Director of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools.
Academics and Work Experience
The younger sibling now holds the academic reins of Techno Schools. She completed her schooling from Akinson, Vijayawada and moved to the US of A, after pre-university studies, in order to pursue higher education. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in 2006, majoring in Management and Marketing, while studying Computer Science as Minor.
Ms. Seema Boppana took to her vocation as a duck takes to water. She gained her initial work experience as Administrative Director of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions. In 2008, she translated the dream of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools into reality. Inheriting the legacy of academics from the Chairpersons, she designed a path-breaking curriculum for the students at the primary, middle and high school levels in collusion with the academic experts from the IITs and the NITs.
Achievements
Ms. Seema gave shape to ‘techno curriculum’ that has a unique frame work which would evolve an analytical mind in the child. The hall mark of the path-breaking curriculum was the concept of ‘self-learning through practical interactive sessions’ in the class-room. The advantage a student would gain from the new method of learning was to comprehend, discern and apply a concept – all at the same time.

Mr. Y L V Sridhar is the Administrative / Finance Director of Sri Chaitanya Junior Colleges. Mr. Sridhar looks into the financial administration of the institution..

Mr. Sridhar completed his Bachelor’s in Engineering from Wayne State University and Master’s from Northern State University, US of A. He has been into the Financial Industry and as IT Manager for more than a decade. He was Acquisition and Merger incharge with Cavalry. He played a key role in developing the $10 million company to a $ billion company. He the ‘brain‘ behind the Software Consultancy, Uni-Global in the USA.
He is primarily responsible for the application of IT in Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions. Diffusion and sharing of the more important academic and administrative information, including reports are now possible at the click of the mouse. All information pertaining to Sri Chaitanya is now centralized.

Mr. Sricharan is the Administrative / Finance Director of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools.
His primary responsibility is to look into the administration, and day to day functioning and development of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools.
Previous Work Experience
Mr. Sricharan comes from a Commercial Real Estate background. He has worked for Lubert Adler Real Estate Private Equity in Singapore where he was part of the team responsible for investing in South East Asia. Before that he was in Vornada Realty Trust’s (NYSE: VNO) Acquisitions and Capital Markets group in New York where he focused on acquiring Retail Properties, such as Malls and Shopping Centers across the country. At Vornado he was responsible for closing over $700 million of transactions.
Education
Mr. Sri Charan’s education started and ended in India. His primary and secondary schooling was from Vijayawada and Hyderabad after which, he moved to the US for Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from Georgia Institute of Technology. He recently completed his Post Graduate Programme in Management, from Indian School of Business in 2008. Mr. Sricharan’s areas of concentration were in Strategy & Leadership and in Finance.
